Contemporary art in heritage redevelopments – a panel discussion.

Join us for fascinating insights about selecting and placing contemporary art in heritage refurbishments, renovations, and redevelopments.

Deliberate inclusion of contemporary art in the interior/exterior design strategy when restoring or redeveloping heritage buildings offers ways for the past to be experienced in the present, and for the present to activate the past.

Examples include the State Buildings in Perth and Ace Hotel Sydney where curated art collections and commissioning artists have created impressive focal points that recontextualise and enliven the building.

The panel discusses their approach to selecting, commissioning, and creating contemporary art for heritage redevelopments.
