A social node for Langley Park Lane

  • Curtin University 139 Saint Georges Terrace Perth, WA, 6000 Australia (map)

Bringing together bright, curious young minds in Perth Design Week’s first Charrette.

A collaboration between Architectus, Curtin University and Timberbuilt Australia, 10 final-year Curtin students will imagine a social node for Langley Park Lane – creating family friendly spaces within a pavilion area to encourage social gatherings and spark new connections in one of Perth’s most sought-after event locations.

Over three days, students will gather in a frenzy of ideas at Curtin University, 139 St Georges Terrace, drawing on the latest design technologies, timber construction methodologies and insights from the best in the industry.

The final concept will be presented to a panel featuring Curtin University Professor Francesco Mancini, Curtin University Senior Lecturer Lee Syminton, Curtin University PHD Student Mr Zaid O. Saeed, Architectus Principal and Studio Leader Mark Black, and Ms Kartika Kumalasari, architecture graduate.

Join us for drinks at the end of the Charrette when the inspired participants share the outcomes from the three-day event, sparking another round of impassioned discussions, insightful commentary and solutions to enduring public space issues.
