Italian Design Day in Perth will be celebrated this year on 20th March, with the theme “Fabricating Value – Inclusivity, Innovation and Sustainability”.
Italian Design Day is a thematic integrated promotional event abroad that celebrates Italian know-how in the design field, historically one of the pillars of the ‘Made in Italy’ ethos. Hundreds of initiatives are presented on this day by Italian Embassies and Consulates, Italian Cultural Institutes, and Italian Trade Agencies-ICE offices around the world.
In Perth, Italian Design Day is organized as an event of Perth Design Week, in cooperation with the School of Design and the Built Environment of the Faculty of Humanities, Curtin University, as one of the initiatives arising from the MOU signed by the Consulate and Curtin in October 2023.
It aims to highlight important trends in Italian design and architecture, and to showcase projects by Curtin University’s Italian academics, designers, and architects which are particularly significant in terms of inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability.
