Perth 3.5 2050

  • The Mark, State Buildings 28 Barrack Street Perth, WA, 6000 Australia (map)

Join us for a conversation on what the city needs for the future when it reaches a population of 3.5 million people.

Against the backdrop of the State Government's Perth to Peel plan to accommodate 3.5 million people by 2050, in the past year we've seen more land released for subdivision. This obviously needs to be balanced with increased density in existing suburbs.

It's about housing choice - in terms of both location and typology. We need a mixture of standalone homes, terraces, and apartments. We also need a range of sizes - there's no one size fits all.

It’s also about infrastructure.

New Committee for Perth CEO Paula Rogers will share her thoughts, followed by a panel discussion facilitated by senior journalist and property specialist Claire Tyrrell.

Guest Speakers include:

David Hillam
David as the Principal of Hillam Architects and Co-Owner of Development Company, Edge Visionary Living has over 30 years’ experience in the residential projects. A portfolio of awarded projects is testament to David’s passion for the quality of the spaces in which we live.

Now I have a role that allows me to put my passion into practice.”
